Our company registration number is 2864349. The term “you” or “customer” or “buyer” refers to the user or viewer of our website.

Back orders

Every transaction made or issued by the FHT is made or issued subject to these General Terms and Conditions of Sale. These terms and conditions do not affect consumers’ statutory rights as contained in current legislations governing the relationship between the buyer and the seller.

Acceptance of orders

No order shall be binding unless and until it is accepted by the company. The company at its absolute discretion may accept or reject any order whether on account of the item being no longer available or for any other reason whatsoever.

Product specifications

Every care has been taken to ensure that descriptions and illustrations are accurate, although this information is only issued as a guide to the identity of the goods. It is the responsibility of the customer to check the compatibility and suitability of goods for any particular purpose before ordering. The company hereby reserves the right to make without notice such minor modifications in specifications, designs or materials as may be necessary or describe by experience.

Payment

The company’s normal terms of business are for all payments to be made prior to dispatch of goods, unless payment is by cheque when clearance of cheques may result in a delay in dispatch of goods. The order will be deemed as placed once the company has received payment. All cheques should be made payable to FHT and sent to the address above.

Overdue accounts

Overdue accounts may be subject to interest charged at the current rate. Continuation of late payments will result in any credit facilities held with FHT being withdrawn. FHT will not hesitate to use the small claims court to recover any long outstanding debts. An administration fee of £10 will be charged in the event of a cheque being returned.

Prices

All prices are subject to alteration without prior notice. All prices are inclusive of VAT with the exception of educational books.

Delivery timescales

Whilst every reasonable effort shall be made to keep to a delivery, any statement made by the company on delivery cannot be guaranteed and the company shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses incurred by the customer or any other person or company arising directly out of any failure to meet any estimated delivery date. The risk in the goods shall pass from the company to the customer upon delivery of such goods to the customer.

To facilitate a prompt delivery, please give a delivery address where someone will be in. All delivery instructions should be stated at the time of ordering (e.g. leave with neighbour, leave in secure porch).

FHT can accept no responsibility for transport delays or circumstances outside their control causing late delivery. Neither FHT, nor their designated carrier will accept claims for consequential loss due to late deliveries.

Courier parcels will be sent out on a daily basis on a “next day” service with the exceptions being Scilly Isles, Scottish Highlands and islands, Republic of Ireland and Mainland Europe, which would be a 2-day service.

Smaller parcels will be sent out by first-class post.

Export

We will be happy to quote charges for export order.

Damages and shortages

The customer shall report any damages or shortages to the company within 48 hours of delivery.

Provided prompt notice of transit damage or loss is given and provided it is proved to the company’s satisfaction that such damage occurred in transit in the UK but not otherwise, the company will refund, repair or replace such equipment free of charge to the customer. The company will not entertain claims made outside the stated time limits.

Warranty and returns

When goods have been ordered in error, faulty or are not as expected, the company may agree to their return on the following conditions.

A request must be first authorised by FHT within seven days of receipt of goods. Returned goods will only be accepted where authorisation has been given.

If you wish to return unwanted goods please ensure that any product you have bought is in original condition, unworn or unused and sent back to the original supplier with its original packing.

Your Statutory Rights are not affected.

Goods which are given free or as part of an offer, and made to order embroidered garments are not exchangeable or refundable, unless the full offer is returned, subject to normal conditions. All products, except consumables, are covered by our 12-month warranty.

Ownership and risk

The risk in the goods shall pass from the company to the customer upon delivery of such goods to the customer. However, notwithstanding delivery and the passing of risk in the goods, title and property in the goods, including full legal and beneficial ownership, shall not pass to the customer until the company has received in cash or cleared funds, payment in full for all goods delivered to the customer under this and all other contracts between the company and the customer for which payment of the full price of the goods shall include the amount of any interest or other sum payable under the terms of this and all other contracts between the company and the customer under which the goods were delivered.

Product misuse

Should any item malfunctions prove to be the result of abnormal use not intended for the purpose of the item or as a result of unskilled usage then the company retains the right of any costs arising from such investigations. Equipment and investigating the causes of the malfunction shall be payable to the company.

Liability

Under no circumstances shall the company be responsible for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
